It also reminded me that saying no—or stepping back—isn’t a sign of weak spot. It’s a method to make sure you’re specializing in what truly matters, whether that’s your beloved ones, your well being or your most critical work priorities. For me, self-care started with taking time off—something I didn’t prioritize early in my profession.
